Houston-based Milestone Environmental said last week it has acquired the Striker slurry injection facility in Lea County in southeastern New Mexico in the Permian Basin. Milestone said the deal expands its network of advanced waste management infrastructure, including oil reclamation and treatment. The acquisition of Striker enhances Milestone’s position across the Permian Basin and brings the company’s total network to 15 facilities across Texas and New Mexico.
Gabriel Rio, president and CEO, said Jan. 13, “We’re not just growing our network. We’re enhancing the infrastructure that enables cleaner energy production.” The announcement added, “This acquisition reinforces Milestone’s unmatched capacity to provide reliable, safe and compliant waste management solutions that help customers reduce their environmental footprint while maintaining operational efficiency.”
Striker accepts RCA-exempt energy waste streams. It operates 24/7, and operations reportedly will continue uninterrupted.
