Milestone Environmental Services, LLC, an environmental services and carbon management company and the largest energy waste sequestration company in the United States, announced on March 26 the opening of its Stanton Landfill facility, located 10 miles south of Stanton at 512 County Road 470. The facility is now accepting drill cuttings, contaminated soils, non-injectable fluids, and other RCRA-exempt E&P waste.
Co-located with Milestone’s existing Stanton slurry injection facility in the heart of the Midland Basin, the expanded operation now provides customers with a complete solution for all their energy waste streams. Milestone’s cost-efficient and environmentally responsible waste management solutions are proven to safely handle both liquids and solid waste, while helping energy companies reduce emissions by sequestering waste-associated carbon.
“We’re very excited to announce the opening of the Stanton Landfill,” said Richard Leaper, Milestone’s executive vice president of energy waste. “The facility will provide our E&P customers with a full-service disposal option for all their energy waste streams at a single location. The expansion of this facility demonstrates our long-term commitment to our E&P customers, and to our mission to clean up energy.”
The 78-acre, 12.4-million-cubic-yard landfill is Milestone’s third in the Permian Basin, and it underscores the Company’s continued goal to operate the most comprehensive network of waste management facilities in the region. The state-of-the-art landfill is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and was engineered to the highest environmental standards using advanced protective technologies, while providing rapid and efficient customer service.
