Houston-based Milestone Environmental Services opened an office in Midland to support the company’s growing presence in the Permian Basin. Milestone is a 25-year-old oilfield waste disposal services provider with eight locations in Permian, Eagle Ford and Haynesville. Milestone said March 2 the new facility provides workspace for local sales, dispatch, day-to-day operations, engineering, health and safety, and human resources.
Milestone’s first landfill in Permian Basin opened in Orla last year, and its second will open in Upton County this year. Gabriel Rio, president CEO, said Milestone offers operators “the option of disposing of waste in a professional way and mitigate land and water contamination.” He added, “We’re still in the midst of a Permian Basin buildout. We’re planning new facilities.”
