Five leading oil and gas operators in Permian Basin have donated a total of $200,000 to the Panhandle Disaster Relief Fund of Amarillo Area Foundation to support residents impacted by the recent wildfires in the panhandle. They are Chevron, ConocoPhillips, Diamondback Energy, Permian Resources and Pioneer Natural Resources. Nick Olds of ConocoPhillips told the Midland Reporter Telegram recently, “We want to thank the emergency responders and volunteers for their ongoing efforts and organizations like the Amarillo Area Foundation for efficiently directing our donations to those who need it the most.”
Clay Stribling, president and CEO of the foundation, said, “The … fund is being used to address the immediate needs of those impacted by the devasting wildfires in our region. We are focused on food, water, shelter and clothing. We will also work closely with regional providers to address long-term needs.” Reporter Telegram said more than $1.3 million in grants have been allocated by the foundation to organizations providing direct relief.
