The debut celebration of the Southwest Oil and Gas Awards recognized the best in the region.
Carried along on a mood of festivity and well wishing, the 2013 Southwest Oil and Gas Awards recognized the top performers in this region’s oil and gas industry as a glamorous gala dinner and awards ceremony unfolded Oct. 22 in the Taste of Texas Ballroom at the Sheraton Hotel and Spa in Fort Worth, TX.
The evening began with the finalists showcase gallery and champagne reception, followed by remarks from the guest of honor, Chairman Barry T. Smitherman of the Railroad Commission of Texas, who delivered a well received message to the crowd of some 400 senior oil and gas industry executives.
Organizers credited the event’s sponsors for its success: TEEMCO, Anadarko, Blank Rome, Tetra Technologies, Bluewater Industries, Bosque Systems, Breitling Oil and Gas, Celanese, Composite Fluid Transfer, CSI Recruiting, Dresser-Rand, Honeywell International, Light Tower Rentals, National Oilwell Varco, and NCS Energy Services. The organizers were able to present the Texas Alliance of Energy Producers with a donation of $5,000 to go towards their petroleum engineering scholarship program.
The 2013 Southwest Oil and Gas Awards’ judging panel reviewed hundreds of entries to get to the short list of finalists who were all recognized on the night, before the winners were announced. See accompanying panel for the winners.
The organizers said they look forward to returning to Fort Worth for the 2014 awards.
