San Ramon-based Chevron said its company’s net oil-equivalent production for third quarter increased 7 percent from last year as U.S. and Permian Basin production set quarterly records. U.S. net boed was up 198,000 barrels per day to 1.605 million boed in 2024Q3 from 1.407 million boed from 2023Q3. Chevron said the U.S. production record was “primarily due to record high production in Permian Basin and the acquisition of PDC Energy.”
U.S. production increase was partly offset by hurricane impacts in the U.S. Gulf of Mexico that reduced production by 17,000 b/d.
