The 2006 Permian Basin Water in Energy conference will be conducted next week in Midland. Keynote speakers in the conference April 7-9 at UTPB and Bush Convention Center will include Maynard Holt, CEO of research firm Veriten; Nick Moriss, vice president of Natura Resources; Billy Murphy, CEO of University Lands; and Ray Perryman, CEO of economic firm The Perryman Group.
Other speakers will include Texas House of Representative members Brooks Landgraf and Cody Harris; Brady Franks, director of the Texas Water Development Board; Brooke Paup, chair of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality; Jim Wright, chair of the Railroad Commission of Texas; Todd Staples, president of the Texas Oil and Gas Association; and Stephen Robertson, executive vice president of Permian Basin Petroleum Association.
The conference, a program of the Shepperd Leadership Institute at UTPB, is “dedicated to advancing water management in the energy industry.”
