In a call with investors last month, Houston-based pipeline operator Kinder Morgan said it will route Permian Pass, its newest natural gas pipeline, from west Texas to southeast Texas, in support of the liquefied natural gas industry on the Gulf Coast. The exact route is being determined. Permian Pass will be the company’s third project to move natural gas from west Texas’ shale play following Gulf Coast Express, which is expected to begin moving two billion cubic feet of natural gas per day from Permian to Agua Dulce near Corpus Christi this fall, and Permian Highway, which intends to move natural gas to Katy near Houston by October 2020.
