Phillips 66, Kinder Morgan and HF Sinclair said last week they executed a joint venture agreement and made final investment decision to advance the Western Gateway pipeline system. It will create a new refined products transportation system of 1,300 miles linking St. Louis and expanded Gulf Coast supply points with markets in Arizona and California (initial capacity 230,000 b/d). It includes a new 900-mile pipeline from Borger in the Texas panhandle to Phoenix that Phillips 66 will construct and operate.
Oil & Gas Journal said Phillips 66 will own 49.9 percent of Western Gateway (Kinder Morgan 35.1 percent, HF Sinclair 15 percent).
