Houston-based independent infrastructure company Pinnacle Midstream said last week it will expand its Dos Picos system and processing complex in Midland County by constructing a second natural gas processing plant. Train II, which is targeted for commercial operation in 2024Q4, will add 220 million cubic feet per day of processing capacity and increase Pinnacle’s total operated processing capacity in Midland Basin to 440 million cfd. Pinnacle also will expand its gathering and compression facilities in Glasscock, Martin and Midland counties. Pinnacle’s infrastructure is anchored by long-term acreage dedications from private and public operators in Permian Basin. Greg Sargent, CEO, said July 11, “Expanding the Dos Picos capacity by 220 million cfd ensures we can provide the best service to our current and future customers, maximize their recoveries and help limit flaring across the basin.”
