Occidental Petroleum and Pioneer Natural Resources are the most active operators in Permian Basin. Enverus said as of June 7 each had 22 working rigs in the basin. Other Permian leaders include Mewbourne Oil with 19, EOG Resources with 17, Devon Energy with 16, and ConocoPhillips and ExxonMobil each with 15.
Permian is a decisive leader among U.S. regions in frac crews, according to Enverus, with 96 as of May 24. Rockies reported 31 crews, Gulf Coast 28, Eastern 14 and Mid-Continent 11.
In the U.S., ConocoPhillips is the leader with 31 working rigs as of June 7 followed by EOG Resources with 29. Other leaders include Occidental with 26, Mewbourne with 25, Continental Resources with 23, and Devon and Pioneer each with 22.
