Officials of Pioneer Natural Resources said the company’s Delaware Basin assets divested last week to Continental Resources have a higher operating cost than their Midland Basin assets. Pioneer sold for $3.25 million all its assets in Delaware Basin (92,000 net acres with net production of 50,000 boed – 70 percent oil) acquired in October 2020 in its $7 billion acquisition of Parsley Energy. Pioneer averaged oil production of 389,000 b/d in 2021Q3 and 676,000 boed (both in upper half of guidance). Production for 2021Q4 is expected to be 388,000-to-403,000 b/d of oil and 670,000-to-695,000 boed.
