Crude oil production in Scurry County for 2019 is ahead of levels from 2018, according to Railroad Commission of Texas and Snyder Daily News. For the first eight months, Scurry County operators reported 10.26 million barrels compared to 10.16 million barrels for the same period in 2018. Permits and completions also are ahead of last year’s figures. The Daily News said last month that 15 new permits were issued in September (7 were issued in September 2018), and 30 completions were reported in September (19 completions in September 2018).
