Richardson-based Sentinel Midstream said Oct. 4 it will operate two ExxonMobil crude oil pipelines in the Houston area under a new joint venture with subsidiary ExxonMobil Pipeline. Enercoast Midstream, the joint venture, will provide last-mile links for Permian Basin, Gulf of Mexico and other barrels in the Houston market. For the JV, ExxonMobil will contribute two existing crude oil pipelines – a 16-inch pipeline (20 miles) originating at Webster terminal with delivery points at Baytown and Seabrook and a 20-inch pipeline (10 miles) with access to Baytown and Moore Road station. Sentinel contributed cash for a majority equity position and will operate the JV.
Jeff Ballard, president and CEO, said, “Sentinel looks forward to the opportunity to serve ExxonMobil and other shippers in the Houston market.”
