ODESSA, TEXAS—The Odessa Country Club was the site on April 12 for the day-long golf tournament that has come to be known as the Permian Basin Petroleum Association “Spring Swing.” Beautiful weather greeted the full slate of teams. The format was a four-man scramble.
If enthusiastic participation in golf tournaments can be construed as a barometer of the vigor of the oil industry, this event bodes well for a productive and positive 2021. See the accompanying panels for competition results and event sponsors.
PBPA members are urged to mark their calendars for the upcoming PBPA Sporting Clay Shoot and Oil Patch Pit King Challenge, which is scheduled for June 11 in Midland at Jake’s Guns and Clays, at 13301 FM 1379. For information on that event as it develops, visit PBPA’s website at pbpa.info.
