ODESSA, TEXAS—The beautiful Odessa Country Club was the site on May 28 for the day-long golf event that has come to be known as the Permian Basin Petroleum Association “Spring Swing.” Fine weather greeted the full slate of teams. The format was a four-man scramble.
If enthusiastic participation in golf tournaments can be construed as a barometer of the vigor of the oil industry, this event bodes well for a productive and positive 2026. See the accompanying panels for competition results and event sponsors.
PBPA members are urged to mark their calendars for the upcoming PBPA Sporting Clay Shoot and Oil Patch Pit King Challenge, which is scheduled for June 25 in Midland at Jake’s Guns and Clays, at 13301 FM 1379. Come for a day of clay shooting action, awesome food, and valuable connections with industry peers from across the region. Whether you’re hosting clients, rewarding your team, or simply enjoying a day outdoors, this event offers the perfect setting to build relationships and enjoy some friendly competition. For more information on that event, visit PBPA’s website at pbpa.info.
Meanwhile, PBPA thanks all of its sponsors, participants, volunteers, and food preparers for their involvement and their help in making Spring Swing the perennially popular event that it is.
