Houston-based Targa is relocating an existing natural gas processing plant from the Eagle Ford shale region of south Texas to Delaware Basin and progressing with construction of four other gas processing projects in Permian Basin. The five new plants will add 1.2 bcfd of gas processing capacity to Targa’s Permian operations.
The relocated plant was acquired from Southcross Energy Operating in 2022 and will be installed by 2024Q2 as Roadrunner II with capacity of 230 million cfd.
Construction is in progress on Legacy II in Midland Basin and Midway in Delaware Basin (due in 2023Q2), Greenway in Midland (2023Q4) and Wildcat II in Delaware (2024Q1). Capacity for each is 275 million cfd.
Lawrence Rayburn says
Where are the Targa Wildcat II and Roadrunner plants? Between Saragosa
and Verhalen, Texas in Reeves county is an ideal site for southern Delaware
basin production processing plants with pipeline connections to the Waha and northern Pecos county crude oil plant for shipment on 42, 48, and 60 inch
lines to Texas Gulf coast loading terminals.
