Initial roster of the Texas House Water Caucus includes nine members of the House of Representatives from west Texas. Sarah Schlessinger, CEO of Texas Water Foundation, said Jan. 13 the group will focus on creating a sustainable water system in Texas. She said aging infrastructure and limited investments have left Texas’ water infrastructure fragile. Last year there were more than 3,000 boil water notices in Texas. Rep. Tracy King, D-Batesville, is chair.
The group of 38 includes Dustin Burrows, R-Lubbock; Drew Darby, R-San Angelo; Mary Gonzalez, D-Clint; Stan Lambert, R-Abilene; Brooks Landgraf, R-Odessa; Claudia Ordaz Perez, D-El Paso; Walter Thomas (Four) Price, IV, R-Amarillo; Glenn Rogers, R-Graford; and David Spiller, R-Jacksboro.
