Texas Pacific Water Resources recently received the annual Bruno Hanson/Midland College Environmental Excellence Award. The award was presented at a Permian Basin environmental regulatory seminar for Texas Pacific’s research into treating and recycling produced water. Gretchen Hanson Bakke, member of the award committee, told Midland Reporter Telegram, “The committee selected Texas Pacific Water Resources for their innovative approach to addressing water management challenges to the oil and gas industry.”
Bakke added, “They have a state-of-the-art testing facility in Midland County where they have pioneered examining the effects of treated produced water on flora and soil – aiming to transform what is currently deemed as waste into a valuable resource.”
The company was formed in 2017 as a subsidiary of Texas Pacific Land Trust to develop and manage water assets.
