Permian Basin held steady at 405 rigs in the latest count of active oil and gas drilling rigs from Baker Hughes. As of Nov. 27 there were 405 rigs in Texas (down 1 in previous week), 103 rigs in New Mexico (down 1 in previous week) and 802 rigs in U.S. (down 1 in previous week). It was the seventh straight week of declines in U.S. and sixth in Texas.
Other most active regions include Eagle Ford with 60 rigs (unchanged in previous week), Haynesville with 53 rigs (unchanged) and Williston with 51 rigs (unchanged). Other most active states include Louisiana with 57 rigs (up 1 in previous week), Oklahoma with 51 rigs (down 1 in previous week) and North Dakota with 49 rigs (unchanged).
