San Antonio-based Water Energy Services said Sept. 23 it acquired the fluid management and saltwater disposal well assets of Houston-based Key Energy Services. Water Energy Services provides water logistics, fluid management, oil reclamation, saltwater disposal and water recycling in Permian Basin and Eagle Ford. Assets acquired include 32 SWDs, frack tanks, transport vehicles and other equipment in Texas and New Mexico.
Nicholas Atkins, CEO of Water Energy Services, said, “We add significant new assets, customer relationships and seasoned personnel to our workforce, and the acquisition gives us a broadly diversified base for providing services to our existing and new customers.” Marshall Dodson, president and CEO of Key Energy, said the sale “completes Key’s exit from this line of business in these states” to allow it to focus on its core operations as “one of the largest well-servicing and workover companies in the U.S.”
