Glenfarne Group, LLC, a developer, owner‑operator, and industrial manager of energy and infrastructure assets, announced Feb. 12 that it had hired Scott Meller, CFA, as Head of Capital Formation, effective immediately. Meller will lead Glenfarne’s institutional fundraising and investor relations activities, supporting the firm’s capital formation strategy across its energy and infrastructure platforms. Brendan Duval, CEO and Founder of Glenfarne, said, “Scott brings deep institutional relationships and a strong track record across energy and infrastructure capital formation significantly strengthening our internal capabilities. His deep experience partnering with global institutional investors will support disciplined fundraising, long‑term capital alignment, and continued growth across Glenfarne’s energy and infrastructure platforms.” Meller joins Glenfarne from Actis, part of General Atlantic, where he most recently served as Director and Head of North America for the Investor Solutions Group.

Voith announced Feb. 17 the addition of Michal Kalita as Voith Turbo’s new Vice President of Sales for its Industry Division in North America. Kalita will be based at Voith’s Houston. Ralf Dreckmann, President of Voith Turbo, North America, said, “Michal’s strong global experience and track record of steering data-driven strategies that optimize performance will bring value for our team and for our customers. We look forward to building on the success achieved so far in North America.” Kalita has more than 20 years of experience in the rotating machinery industry. Prior to joining Voith, he served as Director of Global Service for Ebara Elliott Energy and held various commercial and operational leadership roles at Sulzer. Kalita has a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering from the University of Houston. Kalita, for his own part, remarked, “The customer is the central focus of everything the team does at Voith. I’m looking forward to being at the forefront of continuing that level of dedication for our customers throughout North America.”

The Woodlands-based Ring Energy, Inc., announced Feb. 3 that Sundip (“Sonu”) Singh Johl was joining the Company as its Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer, and Treasurer, effective Feb 27. Johl brings more than 20 years of experience across upstream oil and gas investment banking, corporate finance, and strategic advisory roles, with expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital markets, valuation, and financial strategy. From 2020 through January 2026, Johl was Managing Director, Co-Head of Energy Investment Banking at Raymond James and Associates, Inc., where he advised public and private E&P companies doing business in the Permian and other major onshore basins. He has an MBA degree from the Darden Graduate School of Business Administration at the University of Virginia. Paul D. McKinney, Chairman and CEO, commented, “Sonu Johl’s many years of experience in upstream E&P banking, corporate finance and strategic advisory services for public energy producers will be invaluable to us.”

Government affairs, communications, and advocacy firm HBW Resources announced Jan. 7 the appointment of Jeff Ostermayer as Senior Vice President, Public Affairs and Communications. Ostermayer will lead HBW’s communications strategy and public affairs initiatives, with a particular focus on energy policy, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy campaigns. He will oversee the development and execution of integrated communications strategies and direct advocacy campaigns. HBW Managing Partner David Holt commented: “Jeff’s deep expertise in energy and utilities issues and proven track record of building successful advocacy campaigns strengthens HBW’s ability to deliver results.” Ostermayer remarked, “I look forward to leveraging my experience to help our clients navigate the evolving policy landscape and achieve their goals.”
