Fort Worth-based Brazos Midstream will construct a new plant, Cassidy II, at its complex in Glasscock County to add 300 million cfd of cryogenic natural gas processing. The new plant near Garden City is expected to begin operating in summer 2027 and increase Brazos’ total processing capacity in Midland Basin to about 1.1 billion cfd. Brazos said the expansion is supported by long-term acreage dedications for 575,000 acres from top-tier private and public customers currently in full-scale development.
Stephen Luskey, CCO, said Aug. 10, “Our producer customers are accelerating development in deeper formations like the Barnett with higher gas-to-oil ratios, dramatically increasing natural gas production across the Brazos system… Our ability to deliver this incremental capacity on an abbreviated timeline is a great example of our commitment to build critical midstream infrastructure ahead of planned development and to expand alongside our customers.”
Cassidy I, also with capacity of 300 million cfd, is expected to begin service by yearend.
