Dallas-based Cardinal Midstream Partners said last week it plans to expand its Pecos River natural gas processing complex in Loving County in Permian Basin. The expansion is scheduled for completion in early 2026. It will add 220 million cubic feet per day of capacity and increase Cardinal’s total capacity to 360 million cfd (with flexibility for additional expansion to meet growing demand).
Cardinal also said Oct. 7 it has completed gas gathering pipelines in Loving County and in Eddy County, N.M. With completion of the 36 miles of new large-diameter, high- and low-pressure natural gas gathering pipelines, Cardinal now owns and operates about 150 miles of natural gas infrastructure in the core of the Delaware Basin.
Doug Dormer, CEO, said, “These significant expansion projects provide high-quality energy infrastructure that ensures reliable midstream services for our customers’ future development.”
