Crude oil production in seven major U.S. regions is expected to top 9 million barrels per day in October, according to the latest drilling productivity report from U.S. Energy Information Administration.  EIA said Sept. 12 production in seven regions is expected to grow by 132,000 b/d in October from 8.983 million b/d previous month to 9.115 million b/d.  Permian production is forecast to grow to 5.413 million b/d in October from 5.347 million b/d in September.

Natural gas production also is forecast to increase in seven regions to 94.741 billion cubic feet per day next month from 94.135 billion cfd in September.  Gas production in Permian is expected to grow by 152 million cfd to 20.736 billion cfd in October.  Haynesville leads in monthly growth (up 188 million cfd in October to 16.023 billion cfd); Appalachia remains production leader (35.577 billion cfd).

The number of DUC wells (drilled but uncompleted) in seven regions fell for the 26th straight month as of August (down 16 from July to 4,283 DUC wells).  There were 1,161 DUC wells in Permian Basin in August – down 19 from 1,180 in July.  Enverus said count of DUC wells in Haynesville in August is a record high 491.
