ExxonMobil is the Permian Basin leader in oil and gas drilling rigs as of Aug. 9, according to Enverus, with 37 working rigs. Other leaders include Occidental with 21 rigs, EOG Resources, Mewbourne Oil and Devon Energy with 16 each, ConocoPhillips with 15, Chevron and Permian Resources with 12 each, and Diamondback Energy and Endeavor Energy with 11 each.
ExxonMobil also is the U.S. leader with 40 rigs followed by ConocoPhillips with 31, Occidental with 26, EOG Resources with 25, Devon and Mewbourne with 22 each, and Chevron and Continental Resources with 20 each.
Permian Basin reports 121 frac crews as of July 26 to lead the nation followed by Rockies with 30 crews, Gulf Coast with 26, Mid-Continent with 14 and Eastern with 10.
