New Mexico Oil and Gas Association will conduct its annual meeting Oct. 5-7 in Santa Fe. Among topics on the agenda will be NMOGA public outreach, legislative updates and regulatory issues. Speakers will include Kate MacGregor, deputy secretary of the U.S. Department of the Interior; EPA Region VI director Scott Mason; and Stevan Pearce, director of the U.S. Bureau of Land Management, native of Lamesa, Texas, and former member of the U.S. and New Mexico House of Representatives.
State officials scheduled to speak include Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham.
NMOGA president Missi Currier told The American Oil & Gas Reporter the association has grown to more than 250 members. “Our members include everyone from incredibly large producers to smaller producers that have been in New Mexico for multiple generations. We’re very grateful for the support they provide and their willingness to partner with us to work on their behalf in the legislative and regulatory spheres as well as on the public education aspect.”
