Houston-based Noble Energy said last week it will spend about 40 percent of its 2020 U.S. capital budget of $1.3 billion in the Delaware Basin. Similar to 2019, Noble this year will drill and complete 50-to-60 wells in Delaware – focusing on Wolfcamp A in northern and central parts of the company’s acreage. Noble said it expects well costs in 2020 to be down about 10 percent from 2019. Included in Noble’s Delaware Basin 2020 capital budget is an estimated $35 million for linefill associated with the EPIC crude pipeline startup expected in 2020Q1.
Noble said Feb. 12 its 2020 capital program will be from $1.6 to $1.8 billion – a reduction of about $560 million from 2019. The other 60 percent of its U.S. budget is allocated to DJ Basin, where Noble plans to drill and complete 110-to-120 wells. No new 2020 drilling is planned in Eagle Ford.
