A U.S. subsidiary of India’s Welspun Corp. said last week it won an order worth about $580 million to supply coated pipes for a natural gas pipeline in Permian Basin. The pipeline will serve a data center complex operated by an unnamed top-tier hyperscaler. Little Rock-based Welspun Tubular manufactures large-diameter steel pipes for oil and gas transportation. Deliveries for the Permian project are expected in fiscal year 2029.
Welspun operates in more than 50 countries. The company’s announcement said its global orders have reached $5.25 billion.
